Further information

  • (0) Use the VMSVGA or VBoxSVGA drivers. VBoxVGA is slower and unsupported.

  • (1) Intel HD audio works on Mac

  • (2) Intel HD audio and AC97 work on Windows/Linux. SB16 ISA drivers will not work nor will be supported. USB DACs, webcams, and microphones are also supported

  • (3) Web camera video stream requires at least USB 2.0. Check the VMware configuration. Otherwise the stream will have issues.

  • (4) Web camera works in a native webcam application and Firefox, but not in Chromium.

  • (5) In the VM, run install-qemu-additions.sh and reboot the VM. On the host side, install spicy and set up SPICE (see QEMU instructions

    • Window doesn't autoresize the guest like in VMWare/VirtualBox

  • (6) In the VM, run install-vbox-guestadditions.sh and reboot the VM.

    • Provides: keyboard / mouse / clipboard integration, shared folders, and resizeable windows

  • (7) Sound card do not install automatically. It can be add from virtual machine settings.

  • (8) Sound recording do not work properly

  • (9) Version 6.1 do not support shared clippoad or drag&drop

  • HOST = provided by the host OS
